PVC Insulated Winding Wires for Submersible Pump Motors
Application
PVC insulated winding wires are used as original equipment for winding of submersible pump motors. They are also used for rewinding of these motors. The special purpose PVC insulation enables these wires to operate under water over long periods. The minimum insulation thickness is achieved through precision extrusion process so that insertion in stator slots is smooth and easy. Finolex has also developed higher sizes with multi strand copper conductors for higher HP Pump motors for specialized applications such as de-watering, mining and naval pumps.

Thin Wall Polymer Insulated Winding Wires for Submersible Pump Motors
Application
These winding wires have very thin insulation thickness which makes them useful in smaller submersible pumps such as V4 pumps. The old pumps are to be rewound the stator slots get smaller and they require thinner winding wires.

The slot available in the tube well being narrow the shape of the cables has to be suited for such an application. These cables conform to and are marked IS 694: 1990 up to 4.0 sq. mm. The sizes above 4.0 sq.mm. cables generally conform to IS 694 : 1990.

Features
Central conductor is made of 99.97 % pure solid copper manufactured in house. It is insulated with Nitrogen gas injected physical foam dielectric manufactured from imported polyethylene, which enhances the foaming upto 70%, which leads to lower and uniform attenuation. This also ensures that the insulation is free from impurities and the foam cell structure is uniform across entire length. The secondary conductor is made of specially designed poly-aluminum tape bonded with sufficient overlap on dielectric. The second shield is of imported aluminum alloy wire braiding with high tensile strength and has more than 60% coverage suitably flooded with jelly so that the weather effect on conductors is negligible. The outer jacket that has specially formulated PVC manufactured in-house, is of UV resistant nature, for robust performance and long life. Each coil/ bobbin is tested on computerized Test equipment for Attenuation, Impendence and SRL upto 1GHz.
The special features make these cables ideal for power pass application with notch free low attenuation values over wide band of frequencies and low loss of signal quality.
